Self Harm Of Homosexuals Are Higher Than Heterosexuals
Homosexual men and women are at greater risk of Self Harm from mental health problems than Heterosexual men and women. A survey conducted by the British Journal of Psychiatry linked the discovery to levels of discrimination suffered by Homosexuals. The survey found high rates of psychiatric problems in the LGBT community - with 42 percent of Homosexual men and 43 of Homosexual women self harming and over 80 percent of all reported homophobic bullying.
B-F-P finds the British Journal Of Psychiatry to be fundamentally flawed in the basis of their research, even though their statistics on self harm is proportionately correct, the causes they believe create the mental health issue behind their statistics are potentially flawed.
